The Emergency Relief program offers complex case management and casework services, assistance with sourcing short and long-term accommodation, help in accessing medical and health care services, social and emotional support, referrals to other service providers. The volunteer role will support the Triage team in financial assistance for people in significant financial hardship.
The Emergency Relief Triage volunteer provides quality reception and administration support to the Emergency Relief Program and wider Migration Support Programs.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for MSP, both for current and potential clients and other stakeholders. The role would suit someone who has experience with general administration, answering emails, phone calls and supporting front counter enquiries. The Reception & Triage Volunteers will have a variety of other tasks to support specific programs within MSP, including assisting the Emergency Relief team with client triage through initial eligibility assessments and advising those who are ineligible of alternative support agencies.
