The program
Red Cross has been responding to emergencies and providing humanitarian assistance in Australia since 1914. We are committed to strengthening and extending our emergency aid services to assist all Australians in preparing for, responding to and recovering from emergencies.

The opportunity
This is a key volunteer role to support the wellbeing of the Red Cross Emergency Services workforce. Independent wellbeing checks are conducted via phone to all Emergency Services personnel following their involvement in a preparedness, response, recovery activity or activation, with a focus on the wellbeing of the individual.

The impact
As an Independent Wellbeing Check team member you will support the psychosocial wellbeing of Red Cross people.

  3. Complete some checks If you are successful in getting the role we’ll ask you to complete a Police Check. In some cases a Working With Children Check may also be required.
  4. Get started! At this stage, it’s time for your induction and training as you’re now an official Red Cross Volunteer.
