This is a Mobility Equipment Hire Service and we are looking for a volunteer to provide people in need with a range of mobility equipment and personal care aids.

You will be connected with an older person living at home or in an aged care facility who would like greater social connections. Through your ongoing contact or visits, you will build a meaningful friendship, reduce feelings of loneliness and encourage the older person to grow their links and social connections in the community.

Red Cross supports our participants to feel better and less lonely by matching volunteers with them for the purpose of conversation and activities. These visits can have a large impact on the elderly persons life making them feel happier, healthier and reducing social isolation and loneliness.

The role supports migrant women who are experiencing social isolation to come together in a welcoming space to participate and strengthen their social connection through shared activities.

Gain valuable experience working in the community, use communication and organisational skills and gain practical car cleaning experience.
