ACVVS arranges volunteer visits to older people to provide friendship and companionship. Some older people feel alone for various reasons, including: • little contact with friends or relatives • feeling isolated from their culture and heritage • mobility issues that prevent them from taking part in social or leisure activities • being different in some way Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated.

Assist with collecting and delivering donations from various donation bins around the Greater Hobart area to our Hobart Retail Store. By contributing your time and superb driving skills you will help us raise funds to support the important humanitarian work of Red Cross.

This role is best suited for someone with prior Administration/Customer Service experience.  You will have a good understanding of Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), as well as a keen eye for detail.  You will work alongside staff to assist with the day to day functions of the Mobilisation Team, inclusive of database management, general enquiries, supporting the volunteering on-boarding process as well as maintaining existing records for all NSW and ACT volunteers. This is an exciting opportunity to support and interact with Volunteers & Members.

Red Cross Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) match people who don't receive regular social visits with a caring and friendly volunteer. CVS includes visiting people in aged care facilities and in their own home.
