The Victorian Youth Advisory Committee (VYAC) is a subcommittee of the Victorian Advisory Board (VAB) - the state leadership team. The VYAC provide youth perspectives in governance and strategic planning, contributing to impactful and meaningful youth engagement in humanitarian action.

The Red Cross In Search of Safety program connects with schools and the wider community to build awareness about asylum seekers and refugees. If you have an understanding of the hardship and challenges of asylum seekers and refugees throughout their journey to come to Australia, have a passion for working with the community and talking about social issues, we encourage you to apply for this volunteer role.

The In Search of Safety program was developed by Red Cross to help build awareness and understanding of the real situations facing people who come to Australia to seek asylum. This role supports the program to improve public understanding of asylum seekers, refugees and migration by delivering interactive sessions in school forums.
