Roadhouse Kitchen Volunteer ACT

Availability: Business hours, Evenings, Weekends
Time involved: 1 - 4 hours per week
- Weekdays and Weekends - 3.00pm to 6.00pm
Roadhouse Services - A friendly space for homeless and disadvantage people to enjoy a free meal and receive support with a 'drop in' service on Monday and Wednesday afternoons to allow additional time to talk to staff or attend referral and information sessions.
This role suits someone over the age of 18 who works well in a small team to assist in the serving of meals and clean up.
Optional: Can lift up to 10kgs
Some basic food preparation and working to Food Safety Standards.
As a Roadhouse Kitchen Volunteer you will be providing up to 80 nutritious meals per evening and providing support to the Roadhouse team.
Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World’s largest humanitarian network.
