Hub Administration Volunteer - Ngurra Community Centre

The program

Ngurra Community Centre provides a range of services to connect people with their wider community. The aim of the Centre is to build social connectedness in the the local area by providing a safe and open space where community members are able to access formal and informal community-based support, be involved in community-led initiatives and develop meaningful social networks. The Centre's programs encourage community connections and promote social supports by providing community based recreational activities, education and training opportunities, community engagement and volunteer opportunities, information, support and referral services and a space for community gatherings.

The Opportunity

Ngurra Community Centre exists to build social connectedness among the local community by providing a safe and open space.  As our next community centre Volunteer you will have the opportunity to assist community members build social connections and develop new skills and talents

The impact

As a Hub Administration Volunteer, you will be able to connect, learn, listen and teach community members, experiencing social isolation and vulnerability. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World’s largest humanitarian network.

  3. Complete some checks If you are successful in getting the role we’ll ask you to complete a Police Check. In some cases a Working With Children Check may also be required.
  4. Get started! At this stage, it’s time for your induction and training as you’re now an official Red Cross Volunteer.
