The Program

Red Cross’ Migration Support Programs (MSP) works to assist migrants in transition to ensure they have their humanitarian needs met and are participating and included in Australian society. Australian Red Cross also works to directly contribute to the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement’s increased impact on migration.

The Opportunity

This role suits someone who has experience and/or skills in project work, particularly using a Human Centred Design lens. You will be researching local issues impacting people seeking asylum, liaising with frontline staff to evaluate and improve the program, supporting the Capacity Building Team to deliver training sessions.

The Impact

As a Project Support Volunteer with the National Migration Support Programs team, you will be part of helping us to develop and deliver human-centred solutions for people seeking asylum. Specifically, you will assist our local casework teams to deliver tailored and dignified support to migrants in transition who have no or limited access to other supports. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World’s largest humanitarian network.
