Food Security Volunteer - ACT

Time involved: 1 - 4 hours per week
- Ongoing, minimum of 6 months commitment
- 4 hours per week on Tuesday morning
Red Cross work closely with agencies to improve their wellbeing and social connectedness of the most vulnerable community here in the ACT. We support programs that creates community cohesion and promotes the well-being of participants.
This role suits someone over the age of 18 who is a good listener and can commit to four hours a week. The role involves to take part on community garden activities, being prepared to have a chat and be a good listener, and provide healthy lunches for people assisting the program.
As a volunteer, you’ll brighten the life of people suffering vulnerability by offering them a safe place to come and gather on a weekly basis. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World’s largest humanitarian network.
