Volunteer caller – TeleCHAT - Tweed

Availability: Business hours, Evenings, Mornings, Weekends
Time involved: 1 hour per week
Location: Regional NSW
- The roles are ongoing; with a minimum commitment of 6 months
- Flexible times throughout the week; approximately 1 hour a week or fortnight
Red Cross supports elderly members of the community to be more independent, to improve their wellbeing and social connection and to remain living in their local community.
This role suits someone over the age of 18 who is a good listener and can maintain strict confidentiality of information obtained during a call.
As a Telephone Caller you’ll brighten the life of someone suffering vulnerability by offering them friendship over the phone. Red Cross will ensure you have training, ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the World’s largest humanitarian network.
