Red Cross Shops is holding a one-day event at the historical Melbourne Town Hall on the 16 June 2018 to sell new and donated clothes, accessories to raise funds to help people in need.
If you are available from 10am - 4pm on any day Mondays – Fridays (from 15 May – 15 June), our retail warehouse team would be pleased to have you volunteer to help with our warehouse operations in North Melbourne for our upcoming one-day event, the Red Cross Pop-Up Shop, at the Melbourne Town Hall on Swanston Street.
You would assist with sorting new donated and recycled merchandise, to help ensure a consistent supply of quality merchandise to meet the event’s need.
Our North Melbourne Warehouse is easily accessible via Public Transport, being very close to Flemington Road trams (no: 58 & 59) and we suggest using public transport.
No experience necessary as you will be provided with training and the relevant safety clothing, such as gloves. The role involves standing for periods of time and it is essential that you wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes.
Each year we rescue 450 tonnes of clothing from landfill, give opportunities to 5000 volunteers, and generate funds to help Red Cross support vulnerable people in Australia and around the world. The proceeds from the sale of items support the vital everyday work of Red Cross, providing relief in times of crisis and care where it's needed most.
Your time and assistance will help us raise funds to bring care and comfort to our community, where it is most needed.
